DESCRIPTION:Host Facility: Black Bear Golf Club\nDates: Monday, June 21 – Friday, June 25, 2021\nEligibility: Open to all active CGA Members age 55 and older on or before June 21, 2021.\nRegistration Deadline: Friday, May 28th at 11:59 p.m. MT\nEntry Fee: $250.00 for exempt players into the championship. Qualifying fees will be $95.00 per player with an additional $155.00 for successful qualifiers.\nField Size: Maximum of 64 players based on exemptions and successful qualifiers.\nQualifying: Players that are not on the EXEMPT LIST must go through a qualifying round at a course listed above.\nFormat: The CGA Senior Match Play Championship will be played using the PGA TOUR style match play Pod Play system at gross scoring. This means that any player who qualifies for the championship will be guaranteed at least three (3) matches in the championship at Black Bear Golf Club. After each player is ranked (see below), all players will be distributed into their pod with three (3) other players. This will yield 16 pods of four (4) players. Each player will play all three other players in their pod at least once (see schedule below). The winner of each pod will advance to the Round of 16 and a single elimination knockout round will be played for the duration of the championship\nIf there is a tie for the pod winner or knockout stage, a sudden death playoff will determine the winner.\nSchedule:Monday (6/21): Day 1 of Pod Play from 7:00 a.m. – 9:40 a.m.Tuesday (6/22): Day 2 of Pod Play from 7:00 a.m. – 9:40 a.m.\nWednesday Morning (6/23): Day 3 of Pod Play from 7:00 a.m. – 9:40 a.m.\nWednesday Afternoon (6/23): Round of 16 beginning at 12:30 p.m.Thursday Morning (6/24): Quarterfinals from 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 a.m.Thursday Afternoon (6/24): Semifinals from 12:00 p.m. – 12:10 p.m.\nFriday (6/25): Championship match begins at 7:00 a.m (18 hole match).\n\n\n\n
