University of Colorado senior Kirsty Hodgkins has had quite a fall season in college golf, and it’s not over yet.
The CU women completed their fourth tournament of the fall on Sunday, and Hodgkins recorded her second individual runner-up finish.
The Australian, who was low amateur in this year’s CoBank Colorado Women’s Open (seventh overall), tied for second on Sunday at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational in Austin, Texas.
Hodgkins (pictured in a photo on CUBuffs.com by Brendan Maloney) posted rounds of 71-67-68 for a 10-under-par 206 total, which left her five strokes behind champion Isabella Fierro of Oklahoma State. It was the 11th top-10 finish of Hodgkins’ college career.
She chalked up six birdies and two bogeys in the final round, helping the Buffs to a sixth-place showing in the 15-team event.
The University of Denver tied for seventh place, four behind CU. DU freshman Anna Zanusso, who won a tournament last month in Colorado, placed 11th individually at 216 on Sunday.
