Colorado Golf Hall of Fame induction dinner draws stellar crowd to Denver CC

Seldom is there a gathering of more of a who’s who of Colorado golf than takes place each year at the Colorado Golf Hall of Fame induction and awards dinner.
And Sunday night’s 47th edition, hosted by Denver Country Club, was certainly no exception.
PGA Tour winners on hand? Check, with Dow Finsterwald and Dale Douglass.
LPGA Tour winner? Check, with 2019 inductee Lauren Howe (pictured above).
An LPGA Tour veteran with more than $2.3 million in career earnings? Check, with Jill McGill.
Past USGA president? Check, with Judy Bell.
Former USGA Executive Committee members? Check, with Bell, Jim Bunch and Christie Austin.
One of the most popular TV personalities in Colorado? Check, with Tom Green once again serving as master of ceremonies.
And that’s just for starters.
A total of more than 215 people showed up for the festivities. Howe was the lone 2019 inductee, but also honored were Jennifer Kupcho of Westminster (as Golf Person of the Year); Mark and Lynn Cramer, who own and operate the Denver Golf Expo (Lifetime Achievement Award); golf course superintendents Fred Dickman from The Broadmoor and Barry Kendall from Green Valley Ranch (Distinguished Service Awards); and Dillon Stewart of Fort Collins and Lauren Lehigh of Loveland (Future Famer Awards).
All but Kupcho, who was putting the wraps on her professional debut at the U.S. Women’s Open in South Carolina earlier Sunday, were on hand.
